When crossing the street in Norway the pedestrian has the right of way unless there is a stop light(then you wait for the crossing signal). Though you have the right of way, it is still smart to check both ways!
Norwegian winters are long and dark, so take care when walking along unlit roads. By wearing a reflective vest and/or safety reflectors, pedestrians are 85 % more visible to drivers. Avoid being involved in a road accident; be safe, be seen – wear safety reflectors in Norway!
