Now living in Stavanger, Australian artist Brigitte 
Jean Allen is adapting some of her much-loved events for Norwegian audiences. With the help of Tou Scene; a handful of amazing local musicians, magicians and dancers; and a little French-themed silliness, she’s out to create an evening of devilish debauchery on February 26: La Frenchy Festivale.
Featuring classic French music from renowned musicians Johan Egdetveit and Dominique Brackeva, Gypsy tunes from lovely ladies Gjertrud Ørkland and Helene Waage, House DJ ‘Plateprater Ole‘, and a premiere gig for Stavanger trio Snow Pirate, La Frenchy Festivale promises to one night out of the ordinary. With fire juggling from none other than Flaks Sjongleringsgruppe, roving magic from teenage star Andre Bore, projected film from the famous Tina Sparkles of Shanghai, Brigitte’s own fusion of Jazz singing with burlesque fan dance (as Jean Jameson), and even Malin Olsen (of Norway’s Got Talent fame) performing a sexy routine on the pole, the night promises a rare evening of carnivale-esque entertainment… simply for your pleasure! The entire venue will be decorated – think cabaret – with table and chairs to enhance the ‘show spectacular’ feeling. Candles, a lot of red curtains, a lot of red wine! So put on your berets, your fishnet stockings and your corsets, and join us for all things Moulin Rouge… those who dress up will even receive a free champagne at the door! Best dressed wins a free bottle of champagne! Tres Magnifique!
