Freebies Galore



In Norway, there are a number of websites where you can visit to receive useful information about conceiving, being pregnant and being parents. In addition, some of these websites offer you welcome packages for free (some require you to pay postage, some do not) if you are pregnant or have children. There are other websites by specific product makers which offer you a trial package of items for you and/or your baby. All of these websites are in Norwegian though so you might need Google Translate to help.

Babyglede
Babyglede is an online bookclub for pregnant women and parents. As a member of this bookclub, you get discounts on books relating to pregnancy, babies and children (although they are all in Norwegian). Becoming a member of this club entitles you to a welcome package which includes books, toys and a baby bath towel. Click here to sign up. (98 NOK for postage)

Libero
The Libero site offers information and articles about pregnancy and child-raising. Joining the Libero Club entitles you to a welcome package of baby items (the website did not specify what items come in the package).

Goboken
Goboken is a bookclub offering you books on your baby’s development and more. Joining Goboken entitles you to a welcome package of toys and books (49 NOK for postage)


BabyBox
Sign up and get a Babybox which includes Pampers, Body fra Lindex, wet serviettes from Dermica, Skin Care Cream from A-Derma, 2-in-1 shower and shampoo from CCS, magazines and more. You’ll get a receipt emailed to you then you’ll have to pick up the BabyBox at an Apotek1 near you.

BabyVerden
This website offers comprehensive information and help for couples trying to conceive, pregnant women and parents. Becoming a member of this website offers you a welcome package and chances to win fabulous prizes.

Bam
Bam is a website where you can ask and receive answers from midwives regarding pregnancy, childbirth and children. Sign up here and receive a package of trial products – softener, detergent, pantyliners, pacifier, breast pads, etc.

Babyshop
Sign up with Babyshop here to receive a free Sangenic diaper bin.

Rimi
Order a free babypack from Rimi which entitles you to try a whole host of products for mom and baby.

Barnas Hus
Receive an Angel Care diaper bin for free upon signup. Valid only for pregnant women 28 weeks and above or if your child is 3 months old and younger.

Weleda Baby
Join as a member to receive a baby care set. You should receive a receipt which you can use to claim your package.

TENA
Try TENA products (for incontinence after delivery) for free upon signup.

About Cynthia Myrnes

Cynthia is a Singaporean who has been living in Stavanger since Feb 2008 with her Norwegian husband. She works as a physiotherapist here and also owns her own petsitting service, Stavanger Petsitter, for the residents of Stavanger. In addition, she manages the Stavanger International Moms group.
