This is very helpful information. I am planning to marry a Norwegian. I am from the Philippines, but I am highly educated and I would not want to be ostracized in Norway just because of my race. But then again, I believe it is just a matter of how you carry yourself and how you let others treat you. Prejudice happens everywhere. It is just a matter of dealing with it, and proving people wrong if necessary. :)Also, it would also be helpful to use common sense during the getting to know stage, which is very important. One thing to not bring is electronics that do not convert power if you are coming from the states. Computers and some other things do this, your hair dryers and other small electronics probably don't. Its not worth it to brign that stuff all the way over here and carry around a huge power adaptor or blow them out. If all you need to change is the plug, than thats fine. Nice article!
