Fonda is an American who has been living in Stavanger since July of 2008 with her Norwegian boyfriend. She loves drinking tea with friends, music, taking photos and traveling. She loves the rain, but really dislikes when her feet get wet – this is always challenging since it rains so often in Stavanger.

Cynthia is a Singaporean who has been living in Stavanger since Feb 2008 with her Norwegian husband. She works as a physiotherapist here and also owns her own petsitting service, Stavanger Petsitter, for the residents of Stavanger. In addition, she co-moderates the Stavanger International Moms Facebook group.
She loves hanging out with friends, spending time with animals, travelling and watersports such as scuba diving and wake boarding. Most of all, she is enjoying the experience of being a first time mom!
Sadie

Sadie is English and moved to Stavanger in May 2010 with her boyfriend who works in the oil industry. After leaving her career in marketing to relocate to Norway, she’s currently setting up her own freelance marketing consultancy, specialising in online, PR and experiential marketing.
She is making the most of the great outdoors that Norway has to offer, and has taken up cycling since moving here. She loves making stuff – knitting, sewing and cooking in particular. Other than that her passion is dancing but she is yet to find a ballet class in Stavanger!

Estelle is an Australian who has been living in Norway since June 2006. She is married to a Norwegian and has two children. She has worked in journalism, integrated marketing communications, and as a senior strategy consultant in both the public and private sectors.
Estelle loves reading, writing, history, travelling and spending time with her family. She has written published material resulting from her studies (MBA) and her work. She wants to keep writing, learn new things, and improve her Norwegian skills.
Lani

Lani is a currently resident Randaberg, just outside of Stavanger, Norway, with her Norwegian boyfriend, Stig. Lani is Jewish-Japanese-American by heritage and moved to Norway from Santa Monica, California in July of 2008.
Lani is a graphic designer for Megabite as, but enjoys art and design in all its forms, especially minimalist, maximalist, lohaus, bauhaus, wabi-sabi, and modern design. She is a former student of wheel thrown ceramics.
As an avid traveler, Lani studied abroad on three occasions (once to Israel, twice to Japan). She enjoys anything outside, dancing, trying new things, and cooking food for people. More at her website or blog!

Kate arrived in Stavanger in May 2011 with her husband after a two-year stint in Egypt. Having moved around a lot in the past decade, she has worn many hats, including Latin Teacher, Petroleum Technician, and Refugee Advocate. Kate enjoys literature, biking, and dessert. She is excited to get involved in Norway’s seasonal sports, especially cross-country skiing.
